Could you commit to operating a Front Line Rapid Response Car, providing Clinical Skills and helping to Save lives in and around the local community?

The Scottish Ambulance Service runs a training course covering Intermediate Life Support, Trauma, and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator. As well as all other aspects of First Aid and Patient Care.

Applicants will be interviewed by a member of the Ambulance Service and from within the team.

Once selected you will undergo a week long intensive medical training course undertaken by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Once qualified you will join the team and be expected to operate as a medic in the car at least 3-4 shifts of 4 -5 hours per month. After a while of being a medic you will be selected for a week long driving course (blues and twos)


You will be required to attend continuation training which takes place monthly.

**Please note at present we only recruit from within the Military, MOD civilians and present those presently employed by any of the emergency services (any role eg admin, fireman, EMDC etc). However if you do not fall into this category please send me your application and I will hold it if/when we open the scheme up.**
